It has been my pleasure to worship and serve with Kelly Carr these past ten years. Five of those were spent serving as Children’s Director with Kelly as my Pastor and my boss. Kelly is a leader with a shepherd’s heart. He is warm, approachable and supportive. Kelly loves God. Kelly taught me tenacity in ministry. That sometimes the steepest mountains are the ones with the lessons that shape our God inspired destinies. …for such a time as this. Esther 4:14

Laveen Baptist Church had the privilege of having Dr. Kelly Carr come to our church as a guest speaker in August 2009. He really delivered a message that we needed to hear from God. Dr. Kelly Carr is an excellent preacher. When I retired from the full time pastorate, Kelly became my pastor. I was blessed by his sermons week after week.
His sermons are true to the Scripture and his real-life application make those Ancient Words come alive.
Kelly is a careful student, a gifted writer, and good teacher. His presentations at retreats and conferences are excellent.
He has the heart of an evangelist.
Kelly was my pastor for 10 years. During that time, I experienced personal spiritual growth and witnessed the growth of many others. It’s hard to express the impact he has had on my life. He leads by example, with a servant’s heart, and a deep love for God and the Great Commission. He teaches the Word as written. I served on the church’s leadership team with him for six years and know him as a man of integrity whose commitment to serving the Lord is unsurpassed.

I have known Pastor Carr since 2005. He and his family truly walk and talk the path of God. Two years ago when my mother went to be with the Lord, he stood by my side offering spiritual and emotional support. He is a man of moral conviction. I am proud to say he helped me find my path to the Lord and officiated my baptism.
Jesus First Baptist Community Church in Eagar, AZ has just gone through a half-year dry spell while our pastor was on sabbatical preparing to retire. Thank the Lord that we now have a new pastor, Larry Hamblen (just started yesterday).
During this time, we were hungry for the Word. We invited many different pastors to come speak to us. We were grateful for their help, but as you can imagine, it kind of takes the wind out of your sails to have a different speaker every Sunday.
So I am glad to report that Dr. Carr’s message (see http://www.higherpurposeministries.com/preaching-at-first-jesus-church-of-eager-arizona/) was very well received by the body. Kelly’s easy-going style and cheerful personality made us feel at home, and many people complimented him on his speaking. He was easy to follow, had a relevant message, and he fitted right in to our loving church family.
Of course, he and Cindy had to drive back to the big city in the desert, leaving us in our cool mountain abode. But we would be delighted to hear him again one day when our pastor needs a holiday.
Our thanks for Kelly’s visit. He was there when we needed him.
