You need an online presence today.  It is your electronic business card.  However, building a website can seem daunting, and even impossible for some.  Once built, they are usually rather easy to maintain. 

If you need help putting up a simple website with your resume or interests, and you are not sure how to get started, please contact me and perhaps I can help.  These things can be very expensive if you do not know what you are doing or do not know where to go for help. 

I can help you get a domain name, set up a website that is vextremely smple to keep updated and make regular postings, and even host it for you for a very small fee.  (I can design it for $10 bucks and host it for you for $10 bucks a year.  There are small costs involved in getting the domain name, less than $10 / year, and perhaps a template if you want a certain design.  I can show you where to find a very nice one that is inexpensive, and some that are free.  Don’t let cost keep you from doing this since you can do if for the cost of taking your family out to dinner at Chili’s.

These days, churches are looking for a professional web presence.  You can put up some information at MySpace, or Facebook, but to have a site of your own where you have complete control of the content, advertisements, design, and information, is certainly preferable. 

Since I have experience setting up sites in HTML, php, and other venues, I am able to help you get started.  My favorite type of website for this purpose is WordPress since it is so simple and easy to work with.  Basically, if you can work with Microsoft office, you can operate a WordPress website. 

If you are currently a Youth Pastor, Pastor, Worship Leader, Education Minister, and looking for a position, your website can be working for you 24/7.  Keep it current with a current downloadable resume adn references.  Have a place where people can request more information.  Describe your hobbies and interests, showcase your family, describe your great moments in ministry, brag about your school, talk about your favorite football team (Go Cowboys!), or whatever you like.   The main to have an address where search committees can find you.  It is important to be able to have PDF’s, audio files, and even video files that people can donload, or watch.  .
