Revelation: Book of Mystery and Majesty, by Dr. Kelly Carr is now available in the Kindle Store and can be downloaded from Amazon.
This book was first published by Dr. Carr in 1998 as a Revelation Bible study guide which was used in teaching the Auditorium class at his church in Greenville. He also published a student guide in a fill in the blank format.
“Revelation” is not a Revelation commentary. It does deal with every chapter and virtually every verse of the book of revelation, but it is not in depth. This bible study guide is handier, gets down to the meaning quicker, and is written in an easy to follow “outline” form. Each lesson, is completely outlined. This makes it easy for the student to follow and easy for the teacher to lead.

It is great for individual study and also for group study. Several groups have used it to begin a new class or small group since people tend to be interested in the topic. The New Testament book of Revelation which was written by the Apostle John during his confinement and exile to the rocky island of Patmos in the Mediterranean Sea by the tyrannical Roman Emperor Domitian, is a book that really speaks to end times bible prophecy. Some of the prominent themes of the book are the rapture of the church, the future tribulation period, the beast or the anti-Christ, the number of the beast, the two witnesses, the battle of Armageddon, the destruction of Babylon, The Millennium or the thousand year reign of Christ, the beautiful description of the New Heaven and the New Earth and the New Jerusalem, the four horsemen of the apocalypse, the Second Coming of Christ, the stunning Great White Throne judgment, and more.
Carr has organized his book into 26 lessons that can be studied at the reader’s own speed. Each lesson is about 4 pages long and packed with lots of resource material and cross references and helpful explanations and illustrations. He has also included 6 charts that give a visual portrayal of the way the Apostle John organized his book, as well as some current theological viewpoints.
The book’s “Foreword” is by the late Jerry Falwell, founder of Liberty University where Dr. Carr attended. He begins, “Kelly Carr has written a fascinating study guide for Revelation that came out of a series of expository messages he preached at Dixon Baptist Church. …This study guide of the book of Revelation has that opportunity to open up great insight and illumination to the readers.”
Now that the book has been made available through for Kindle eReaders through the Amazon Kindle Store, it is receiving new life and is going out to a new and younger set of readers.
In fact, if you have not yet bought your Kindle, Dr. Carr recommends the new Kindle Fire eReader which he loves.
“It is a Library in the Palm of your Hand.”
