What is Beyond the Farthest Star?

beyond the farthest star movieHave you ever wondered what is beyond the farthest star?  Is it emptiness?  Is it a feeling?  Is it a place?  Is it a person?  Can we know?

The answers to these questions have sparked volumes of conversation from scientists, philosophers, theologians, politicians, and even entertainers.  In the brand new faith based movie, “Beyond the Farthest Star,” the question is asked by a young teenage girl who is struggling with her own identity and trying to find out the reason for her existence.  In a small town, where everyone knows your business, it can be difficult to seek those answers.  Pressure can build up quickly.

What Would Jesus Say?

Do you know what is beyond the farthest star?  Does the Bible have anything to say about it?  Well, Jesus did have something to say about His Father’s house.  He said, “1“Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2“In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:1-3).  In these verses Jesus says that the Christian does not have to worry or “be troubled” about the future because our destiny is the “Father’s house.”  It is personally prepared by a personal Savior for those who “believe also in Me.”

You may be wondering, “If it is beyond the farthest star, then how will we get there?”  Jesus gives this simple answer and solution.  “I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”  In other words, not only does He personally prepare our home beyond the stars, He also takes care of the transportation.  He will come for us.  No one that trusts in Him will ever be left behind.

Beyond the farthest star is also much more than a place, it is a Person.  Jesus said, “I will …receive you to Myself.”  In other words, He will bring us to be with Him.  We will be with the Person who loves us most in all the universe.  The person who made the stars will take us to live with Him beyond the farthest star someday.
